If you found your way here, it’s because Kaitlyn told you about Beyond Boudoir. Welcome!

What is Beyond Boudoir? Let’s define what boudoir is, first. Modern Boudoir photography finds its inspiration in glamour photography, but rather than featuring professional models, boudoir photography features regular people. It is a way for women to feel confident about themselves; to see the beauty that other’s see in themselves. It is, in a word, designed to be “empowering.”

That’s great. I’ve found that many people—no matter what gender—have a poor self-image, and it’s great to see this movement to lift people—especially women—up.

However, many boudoir photographers will bring you to their studio, dress you in their outfits, pose you in exactly the same pose that they have put everyone else. That’s fine, if you are exactly like everyone else,  but chances are you are your own person, with your own hopes and dreams and desires and things you find sexy. You deserve to be captured in a way that is as unique as you are.

That’s what I mean by “beyond”. It means going beyond the conventions of the genre. Yes, sometimes using those conventions, but sometimes bringing in elements of other styles of photography. It means shooting epic outdoor portraits, or capturing you in the intimacy of your own room. It means playing around and having fun, and more importantly, capturing who you are: personality, character, emotion. It means bringing in elements of your life as part of the shoot.

It also means doing things that might not be typically considered “boudoir.” From doing a sexy couple’s shoot with your significant other to dancing around on the top of a mountain in a flowing dress to getting a little (or a lot) more kinky, these shoots are about YOU.

This is not something to take lightly, and I want you to be happy with your choice in photographers. Not only do I want you to be excited about creating images like the ones you see on the website, but I want to make sure you’re comfortable with the decision to shoot with me.

That's why, before booking, I want you meet with me; to talk about the session, the products, the experience and more.

There’s no commitment and no pressure to book. It’s just a chance to chat and ask questions.

Simply fill out the form below and let's set up a time to meet.
