Now with three hands!

So, you may have seen that I’m doing my annual Christmas promotion/giveaway/just for fun quiz. If not, basically it asks if you’ve been naughty or nice. If you haven’t seen it the standard picture on Instagram looks like this:

And it takes you to the quiz here. (There is no identifiable information being collected, so if you want to take the quiz yourself, feel free.)
But I used that image last year, and was thinking about mixing it up.

And I had this idea: what if it were a picture of Santa Claus’ back, and he’s holding a pair of, say, fuzzy handcuffs. That’s kinda a fun play on the idea that I’m trying to get across (which is it doesn’t matter if you are naughty or nice. Read more here. )
But I don’t have a Santa suit or a pair of fuzzy cuffs, and I don’t really have the time to find these props and find someone to shoot with, so I did what everyone is doing these days. I turned to an AI image generator. In this case, Stable diffusion, as found in the Draw Things app.

So I gave it this prompt: “A close up of Santa's back, where in his gloved hands he's holding a pair of fuzzy handcuffs.”

Here’s what it gave me.

This time, Santa appears to have three arms—one growing directly out of his back and…is that a prehensile tail that is coming out his butt? Once more:

Egads. Now we’re into something straight out of a horror movie, Santa as imagined by HR Geiger. He has a deformed hand attached to his belt, giving him three hands total, along with at least three other arms, hands, or limbs of some sort. And his suit is on backwards. Or maybe it’s his head that’s backwards… Ima going to have nightmares after this one.

Eep. I’m not sure if this is better or worse. He’s got so many handcuffs, and that one arm looks like it’s sprouting from his groin. One last try….

What the hell, SD? Again, four arms, one of which is handcuffed to his beard, and his beard is on backwards. Egads. This? This is not working for me.

So, um, if anyone has a Santa outfit and a pair of fuzzy cuffs and wants to shoot…otherwise, I’m sticking with the ad I already have….
