Top 20 for 2020
Here are twenty of my favourite images from 2020. If you saw my post on Instagram, you might notice a few of the images are different, because I don’t have to keep it Instagram friendly.
Enjoy.
Top of the world
A perfect sunset on the top of a mountain for one of my favourite shoots of the year.
From a shoot with J.
Steampunk boudoir. She had one of the most expressive faces I've had the pleasure of shooting with, and had so much fun during the shoot.
Fairy Lights with Blue
That smile, though...
F. goes on a picnic
This is an idea I've had for the longest time, and it was great to actually realize it. I plan on offering picnic sessions for 2021, too, in case you were wondering.
Moon. Light
This shot is a study in all manner of fine details all coming together to make a great shot. And the light. The light is great.
A symphony of colour
Another shot that’s all about the light, but completely different than the last one.
Lady in Red
There was a period of time where I was feeling fairly punk, and I didn't have a lot of shoots. Partially Covid, partially personal. This shoot broke me out of that. She had so much fun, and it warmed my heart to watch her crack up as she tried to rip through the stockings. Serious and sexy have their place, but so does silly (and still sexy).
After the bubble bursts
This shot is so much fun. This was supposed to be a serious sexy shoot. Instead we got this, and I love it. BTW, the gum was green IRL….
Eyes
The red light and blue eyes come out as almost purple here; it’s amazing.
Seeing red.
I love everything about this shot. Her hair. Her make-up. The swoop of her eyebrows and the sweep of her eyelashes. A lot of little things that add up to one of my favourite images of the year.
Red relaxes in front of her fireplace.
I love the lighting of this shot. Honestly.
Relaxed
The mood here is just so quiet and calm.
Gone Fishing
This was one of my favourite shoots of the year, fly fishing in a mountain stream on a beautiful summer day.
Painted lady
Again, smiles.
Friends
Sometimes, shooting with more than one person is awkward. Sometimes, you get magic. This was a magic shoot.
Winter
I like bringing my own lights to create the perfect shot, but this shot was perfect just as it was. The light. The outfit. The frost on the grass, and of course, V.
Bold Love
These two are an amazing couple, and I could have posted most of the shots from the session. But this one just has presence. And mystery.
The Eyes have it
The look in her eye is nearly predatory. Desire and love, mixed together. So much character, even though you can only see a little of her face....
Crystal Trims the tree
Crystal was feeling a bit cheeky for Christmas….
