Beyond Boudoir is looking for adventurous people for our new Test Pilot program. 

Our goal is not to take the same old photos as everyone else. Sometimes that means we are looking to take photos different than anything we've shot before, too. 

Sometimes we have crazy ideas that may or may not work. Or maybe just need to be tried to iron out the kinks. Whatever it is, we are constantly on the lookout for people who want to be on the cutting edge of creativity...or maybe just have the patience to wait while the photographer adjusts the lights. Again. 

The goal is to match the idea to the person. Deathly afraid of the water? We won't send you out into the middle of the lake with a canoe. 

Shots for individuals

Boudnoir

Dark and mysterious, the femme fatale is a staple of film noir. Picture yourself in the role of the seductive, sexy star of your own film. Or, damsel in distress. 

iPhone

It’s not the gear that makes the photographer, but the vision. I’d like to do a shoot creating pro level images with just an iPhone.

Think Lady Godiva. Or not.

Bed in water

Take a air mattress, dress it up like an elegant bed, then set it adrift on the water.

Bed in tree

Take and create a bedframe in the woods and hang it from a tree/series of trees.

Canoe/boat

Take a canoe out on a mountain lake, like Azuzetta. Put blankets in the bottom of the boat. Shoot with a drone, top down. Enjoy.

Body paint/UV Paint

Self explanatory. Probably the act of painting, not just having been painted.

decorated with icing

Hire a cake decorator to ice your body. Bonus points if you have a significant other you can invite along to help clean the icing off….

Slow Motion glitter shower

I hate glitter. I did a shoot with glitter four years ago, and I still find glitter in my camera bag. But it’s beautiful. This one would be video, and shot at super slow motion as naked you has glitter dumped from above.

Hot Stuff

Possibly a couple’s shoot, too. Think laying in bed in a room lit by a few hundred candles.

Winter tanning

Get in touch with your inner feline as you come in from cold, and, finding patch of sun on floor, get naked and lay down in it.

Bubbles

A few years ago, I bought a machine that created small bubbles, like a bath. I have yet to be able to shoot with it.

Shibari

Okay, this one is not a one-off. I am learning to tie. Anyone who wants to let me practice and shoot the results

Masks

A mask tells us more than a face.—Oscar Wilde

Masks can be used to hide identity but they can also reveal character and emotion.

They can be creepy or they can be sexual. They can be used as a symbol of control, or of freedom. They can be used to draw attention away from someone's identity and focus it elsewhere.

They can have cultural significance, or they can have spiritual significance.

Some wear masks to keep safe, like doctors wearing masks or scientists wearing hazmat suits. Others wear them to place themselves in dangerous situations, think bank robbers or 50 Shades.

Heroes wear masks, as do villains.

We talk about masks as metaphors for ways we present ourselves to the world. I have recently become fascinated by masks, as when we place a literal mask over the metaphorical one we wear everyday, it allows us to break with who society thinks we are or should be and be ourselves.

If you were to wear a mask, how would that affect you? What type of mask would you wear? Would it allow you to reveal a side of you that has been hidden? Your sensuality? Your danger? Your emotions?

By hiding your face, perhaps you may reveal your soul.

This is an ongoing project I have recently started. I am looking for models who are interested in exploring this idea of masks and what they both conceal and reveal at a level deeper than "here's me in a mask".

Toques and Tickles

A video idea with five degrees of hotness: 

Toques:

A pair walk through the forest on a fall day, laughing and joking. One grabs the other's toque. The second gives chase. After a merry romp, the prey is caught and either tackled to the ground or pinned against a tree, with arms trapped above head. (The rest plays out as if on the ground.) 

Tickles

The toque is rescued, then shoved into the pinned person's mouth. The person in control begins to tickle the trapped person's side. Short, gentle, teasing bursts. Lots of laughter and crinkly eyes.

Tease

After an intense moment pressed against the other, the tickling becomes gentle touching along her side, and the laughter becomes gentle moans. A pause, staring into each others eyes. The top person grabs toque in her teeth and pulls it out. Heavy breathing. Lips almost touching. The sexual tension thickens until the gentle touching becomes a tickle again. The pinned person gasps in frustration, then breaks free, rolling on top and pinning the other's arms with her legs. Begins playing with other's hair. Dropping leaves towards her face. Begins teasing her. Unbuttoning buttons of shirt, dragging leaf across skin.

Touch

Teasing touches turn to full on caressing, skin on skin

Taste

Lips get involved.

Breakfast in Bed

Person walks in carrying a tray full of breakfast materials. Wakes up person in bed. Begins to feed her. Things get messy. Bananas, yoghurt, bananas dipped in yoghurt…I mean, it doesn’t have to be yoghurt, it’s just so symbolic.

The massage

Pretty self explanatory. Hot oil on skin….
