A few good reasons to book your next shoot

Everyone has their own reasons for getting Beyond Boudoir-style shoots. Sometimes it is for the experience. Sometimes as a present. Sometimes it’s just to prove to yourself you can do it. Here are a handful of reasons you might want to consider as an excuse—I mean valid, logical reason—for your own session.

You’re Getting Married

Congratulations! Boudoir images make awesome gifts for your fiancé.

You’re Getting Divorced

Congratulations! Boudoir images make great presents for yourself. Or for your new lover, or just as a way to celebrate your freedom.

Congratulations! You’ve hit peak “screw societal preconceptions”. You are who you are, and that’s beautiful.

You survived physical/mental/emotional abuse

Congratulations! You are stronger than all that. Let’s celebrate your strength and reclaim your power.

You’re another day older

Congratulations! You lived another day. Considering what days have been like recently, that in itself is an accomplishment.

It’s Monday

Congratulations! You don’t need any reason to celebrate and share how beautiful you are.

Congratulations! Photography can be a lot of fun. I’ve had people ask if I had ever considered taping a shoot and selling it as a stand-up routine, so….

You want to love your body

Congratulations! We as a society have such a terrible relationship with who we are as people; I’m so glad you’re taking this step.

You want to Love your body

Congratulations! We as a society have such … wait. You mean... Oh, hey. That’s cool too.

Because you are who you are…right now

And there will never be another person who is more you than you. There is only one of you, and you deserve to be celebrated, pampered, and captured for posterity. Your smile, your laugh, your passion, your strength, your sensuality…there will never be the same combinations of traits and emotions and cells as there is right now. To paraphrase Heraclitus: No picture of a woman will ever be the same, for each moment, she is not the same woman as she was before.

Because no matter your age, shoe size, skin colour, creed, or personal opinions about pineapple on pizza, now is a perfect time to do a Beyond Boudoir shoot. The reason? Isn’t as important as the person.
