Beyond Boudoir Photography

The colours of life

I love colour.

I won’t deny it. While I can do dark and moody boudoir, I love things that are bright and cheery and full of colour. I typically wear brightly coloured tee-shirts—pink, yellow, orange, blue—sometimes with a suit jacket or dress shirt, sometimes with a safety-vest-yellow jacket and red shorts. I am, I will freely admit, a fashion disaster.

What I really love are the colours of nature. I love blue skies and green grass. I love sunsets and oceans. I love the colours of autumn, all golds and reds. And I love the colours of summer in the Northern Rockies. Especially the flowers.

Fireweed is my absolute favourite, all purples and greens, but I love alpine meadows with their rushes of colours.

But I am not a photographer of just nature. And while I’ve taken some great flower photos, I love to shoot people in flowers. In front of a sunset. Exploring nature. Enjoying the outdoors. Bringing their own colours to the mix.

It’s summer, and we are entering a time of verdant forests, colourful alpine meadows. Of blue blue skies and green fields and yellow canola. Let’s capture that colour with a session that celebrates your love of the outdoors, too. Let’s capture the beauty and majesty and colours of nature while celebrating your beauty and joy, too. Contact us today. Because summer won’t last forever.
