It’s beginning to look a lot like….
It’s that time of year again. Sleigh bells and chestnuts and presents under the tree…
Actually, when was the last time you actually saw a sleigh, let alone rode in one? And have you actually tried roasted chestnuts? They’re … an acquired taste. About the only thing that remains are the presents, and our lives are so full of stuff already.
There is another way. You don’t need a new this or a fancy that. Instead, do things that you’ve never done before. Go places you’ve never seen. Spend time with the people you love. And give yourself the experience of a Beyond Boudoir photoshoot. From epic outdoor photoshoots across BC and Alberta to intimate indoor shoots in the comfort of your own home, my goal is to capture you in ways that perhaps you’ve never seen yourself.
Maybe you’re scared. It’s okay. You’re allowed to be. Or maybe you think you need to lose ten pounds or wait until this happens or that happens…
But you’re here, and that’s a start. It means you’re bou-curious. I know that it’s sometimes hard to celebrate yourself. Maybe you’re a mom, and your entire life has begun to circle around the roles you play—wife, mother, nurse, chauffeur—to the exclusion of any thought for yourself. Maybe you’re single, and doing boudoir seems vain. Or maybe you think to yourself you’ll get boudoir photos done and you’ll hate them, like you hate all the other pictures of you that have ever been taken. And you think “what if I try and fail?”
But, oh, what if you fly? What if you fall deeper in love with yourself? What if you see just a glimpse of the badass that everyone except you knows you are?
The first step is to simply set up a no-strings-attached consultation. Let’s sit down and talk (over the phone, on Zoom or in person) and discuss your hopes and dreams and fears around a photoshoot. Simply fill out the form below. And, as an added bonus, if you sign up before Christmas, you’ll be entered into a draw for a FREE photoshoot.
Or, if you like, you can take our just for fun Naughty or Nice Christmas Quiz, which ultimately leads to the same place, but is a more interesting path to tread.
If you want to find out about me, you could do worse than reading things I’ve written. I’ve got a bunch of Christmas related content, like this, or this, or this, or this, or this, or this. But you can follow your own path, too.
You can also go look at some of the photos I’ve taken. Or read a little bit more about me, or find out about our epic outdoor or intimate indoor photoshoots.
Just the FAQs
I live in Edmonton/Prince George/Vancouver. Can I enter the contest?
Certainly. However, you’ll need to travel to Grande Prairie/Fort St John, or cover travel expenses for me to come to you, or, if you want to book one of our Epic Outdoor shoots, we can transfer the price package towards that.
I want to bring along my husband/boyfriend/best friend/mom’s uncle’s cousin’s sister to the shoot. Can I do that?
Perhaps. If the plan is to just bring them along as an observer, then as long as they abide by the rules of the shoot (positive vibes only), they are more than welcome. If they are coming along to be in the pictures, then I love shooting with couples, but do note you’re winning one shoot. So if your mom’s best friend’s uncle’s cousin’s sister is going to be in all (or at least the majority of the pictures) with you, then yes. If the idea is to divide the shoot into two, then no.
You talk about being naughty, but I’m not looking to get naked or anything…
That’s not a question, but I get what you’re laying down. You as the client are the one who is in charge of your body. Of how you present yourself. While the hope is to push you, even just a little bit, out of your comfort zone and into a place where you can explore and discover things about yourself, that means different things for different people. Maybe it means smiling—really smiling—in a photograph. Maybe it means showing your bare shoulder or back. Maybe it means getting in touch with your internal badass and copping some serious sexy attitude. The whole point of Beyond Boudoir is that my goal is to celebrate women, but without the trappings or cliche’s of boudoir. How that looks is a collaborative process.
